Not satisfied with being a Hero of Hope and one of the hardest working committee members in Donegal, Siubhan Gillespie and her niece Aisling are embarking on a new venture, cutting off their ponytails to provide hair for wigs. Here’s Siubhan’s explanation of what’s happening –
“I invite anyone who wishes to join me and my niece Aisling in donating a ponytail of at least 7″ of hair on Sunday 31st May @1:00pm at the Relay For Life Donegal 2015, in the LYIT.
Those who donate will receive a certificate from The Little Princess Trust charity. Please contact me on 086 8519948.
This Trust accepts all hair except permed hair from 7″ long.
Some one recently commented to me “oh I never thought on where the hair for wigs comes from”, so I decided to do this to ask for as many ponytails as possible and encourage you to think before the hair ends up in your hairdressers bin. This will benefit children who have lost their hair through sickness.
Please contact me before Tuesday 26th May.
