“Relay for Life Donegal takes place over the June Bank Holiday weekend, beginning at 6pm on Saturday May 30th and ending at 6pm on Sunday May 31st.
An integral part of the event is to honour cancer survivors and caregivers, and if you fall into that category, please register for the event. Whether your cancer diagnosis is recent or from years ago, and whether the person you cared for is still with us or has passed on, acknowledgement of your journey is an important part of Relay.
Survivors wear purple t-shirts and walk the opening lap at 6pm, caregivers wear yellow and walk the second lap. Survivors are also invited to join the Survivors Choir, which sings at a number of points over the weekend. (Singing skills are far less important than a desire to be part of what is a fulfilling and fun experience.)
